Kirjoja, kirjoja – Books, and more books

Keittiön valmistumista odotellessa on hyvä aika kantaa muita tavaroita sisään ja laittaa niitä paikoilleen. Kirjahyllyn täyttäminen on aina haasteellinen tehtävä. On niin helppo unohtua selailemaan kirjoja tai vanhoja valokuva-albumeita.

While waiting the kitchen getting ready, it is a good time to move in some other stuff. Filling the bookcase is always a challenging duty. It is so easy to pick a book or an old photo album and carry on paging it and become nostalgic.

Estella järjestelee sarjakuviaan. Upea antiikkituoli on Erja Helanderilta. Martan keittokirja Marian sivuilta ja Joka Nukkekodin Keittokirja Nukkekotiyhdistykseltä. Sarjakuvat on ostettu Forssan messuilta. Estella is organising her comicbooks. She loves old Asterix and Tintin comics. The antique chair is made by Erja Helander. Brownish cooking book is from Maria Malmström´s Väinölä blog, and the red cooking book is from Finnish Dollhouse Society

Kirjahylly on vanerista itse tehty. Osa kirjoista on tehty itse skannatuista ja tulostetuista kansista, osa ostettu Minimaailmasta ja Minilandista. Hieno ryijy on ostettu vuosia sitten Naistenmessuilta. Jos joku muistaa tai tietää tekijän, olisi mukava antaa hänelle asiaan kuuluvat crediitit.
The bookcase is self-made from plywood. I scanned some book covers and printed them and made some books out of them. Some books are bought from Minimaailma and Miniland. Beautiful rya is a traditional Finnish folklore design. I bought it years ago and can´t remember who has done it.

Säilytyslaatikot on valmistettu ohuesta vanerista ja etuseinä on päällystetty skräppipaperilla.
The storage boxes are made out of thin plywood and cover with scrapbook paper.

Vihkoja ei voi koskaan olla liikaa. Sinikantinen vihko on tehty sinikantisen vihkon lehdistä ja kannesta. Pilkullisen vihkon kansi on skräppipaperia. Vihkot on sidottu ompelemalla.
There is never too many notebooks and pads. I have made these from the pages of real grid notebook. The pale blue ones are classic in Finland. I used the covers of the notebooks too and bound these with stitches.
